Our Perfect Day in Telluride

To Start

We’d start the day with a gondola ride into town, taking in the views before grabbing coffee at Coffee Cowboy, it’s our favorite.

From there, we’d head straight to the Jud Wiebe Trail, a true local favorite that starts from town and climbs through aspens and wildflowers. It’s a little challenging, but the views of Telluride from the top make it well worth the effort.

For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, we’d swap Jud Wiebe for the San Miguel River Trail which will let you soak in the natural beauty while staying close to town.

Around Town

After the hike, it’s time for a well-earned lunch at Butcher & Baker or Smuggler Union.

Whether it’s a breakfast sandwich on a homemade English muffin at Butcher or a burger with sweet potato fries and a local beer at Smugglers, both restaurants hit the spot after a morning on the trails.

In the afternoon, we’d take our time wandering through town. A stop at Between the Covers for a new book or a second coffee is always a good idea. From there, we’d browse a few favorite boutiques —Sublime, Mixx, CashmereRED, or Two Skirts for unique finds.

Prefect Ending

For dinner, we’d settle in at The National, a cozy but elevated spot with incredible food and cocktails.

After dinner, we’d wrap up the night with a night cap at the Last Dollar Saloon, a laid-back bar, perfect for a Hazy IPA or a simple, strong cocktail.

We hope you enjoy your time in our favorite little town!
